Well, all but the overrated part.Nightdive Studios‘ System Shock remake swims in déjà vu. Suffice to say, it is one of the most beloved, scariest, and genuinely entertaining while still somehow managing to be overrated games in history. Other posts on the topic of the difficulty of SS2 have been addressed very well by others in other threads, so I will not re-iterate here. The extreme difficulty was the most common complaint against Looking Glass games. SS2 is no exception.for the hard core crowd only. I will warn you though, Looking Glass was known for creating very difficult games. To answer the original question, I would say buy it and see for yourself. Overrated? Uh huh.How do you mean? Like Hamlet is overrated? Like Citizen Kane is overrated? Like the 5th Symphony by Beethovan is overrated? Like The Mona Lisa is overrated? Like the internet is overrated? Why do you want to steer this guy wrong? Perhaps some examples of what you do NOT consider overrated would give us more insight into your credibility, alas, you have chosen to cite none. until Ken Levine cam out of the word work and started making mods for the Unreal Engine and spinning them off the System Shock name. Nobody supported the game financially, and it died off. The company who made the game went out of business shortly thereafter. This game recieve some of the worst sales of any PC games in 1999.
